Anhydrous sodium sulfate, is the anhydrous, sodium salt form of sulfuric acid,  known as the rare mineral thenardite, used as a drying agent in organic synthesis. it is also used in the manufacture of Kraft paper, paperboard, glass, synthetic ultramarine blue, and ceramic glaze.
